And the Best Mascot of the Decade is.....

Yesterday, industry leading sports entertainment website, GameOps.com, released their Best of the Decade Audio Roundtable.  The category for Best Mascot, was the one I was most looking forward to hearing about.  I was very honored, that after only 5 years, my last character, Parker, was voted as one of the best mascots of the past decade.  Needless to say, I'm humbled to even be mentioned with the other winners, the Phillie Phanatic, Rocky from the Denver Nuggets and the now defunct Squatch from the Seattle Supersonics.  It truly is a testament to the power of enthusiasm and passion and teamwork that this honor was bestowed upon Parker.  This is a huge honor for everyone involved with the creation of Parker.  I'd like to thank the following people who have encouraged my mascot dreams and goals.  My wife Jessica, my parents, my best friend Johnny Manutes, the best Sparty Squad ever (01-03), Erin Blank, Dave Raymond and the REG Gang, the Delmarva Shorebirds, Kelly Frank and finally to the staff at the Fresno Grizzlies that made it possible.  Scott Carter, Shaun Northup, Krista Boyd, Walmer Medina, Paul Kennedy, Matt Studwell, Andrew Stuebner, Pat Filippone, Jeff Benton, Daniel Newman, SFM, Jessica Blada and many others.  I think the biggest thank you should be to the fans of the Grizzlies who were hesitant at first with Parker, but came to love him.
